Objectives of the Partnership
|
The aim of the project is to motivate pupils to regularly participate
in English language activities both within the curriculum and as an
extra-curricular programme. The historical research of different food habits and the
knowledge of different diets will be of great importance for people involved in the project because
they will develop the curiosity in searching the healthiest diet for them and become more
aware of the necessity to eat healthy food and to know substances in food that help people to stay healthy.
During the first stage the activities are towards studying, analyzing and learning of
the health problems caused by bad food habits in our town territory. The project wants to help young
people, our school communities, students' families, their friends and the local
communities in being aware about the importance of a healthy diet, in order to prevent some serious
diseases such as anorexia or bulimia and other diseases caused by a bad way of eating and drinking too,
of course. It wants to be a campaign to improve the quality of life of all people involved in
the project. This Partnership through the proposed project gives pupils and teachers in our
schools an opportunity to exchange experience and information with colleagues in other
countries, to work together on one topic regarding the eating which has been identified like a common problem
in our schools. For the teachers it is an opportunity to develop together methods and
approaches which meet their needs, and to test and put into practice new organizational and
pedagogical approaches. It is a good opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding among
students and educational staff belonging to a diversity of European cultures and languages and
their value. School partnerships help pupils and teachers to acquire and improve skills not
only in the topic or subject area on which the project is focused, but also in terms of teamwork,
social relations, planning and undertaking project activities and using information and communication
technologies (ICT). By providing teachers and school managers with the opportunity
offered by this project there will be strengthened the co- operation with bodies from the local community
of the schools, such as local authorities, social services, associations and businesses. The
objectives for this European collaboration belong to different categories: - To encourage the learning of European
foreign languages - To give pupils the possibility to acquaint
themselves with the language of a partner country - To practice foreign languages and increase
their motivation towards language learning Intercultural

approaches and school management; - To enhance the quality and European
