Active Involvement

 

                   All pupils and teachers involved in the project will take part effectively to the

activities of planning(after the project has been financed), production and evaluation of the

project. The assignment of the tasks and the division on work groups are discussed and approved

by all participants, teachers and pupils. At the beginning there is designed a plan of activities and

responsibilities and it will be checked out by everybody as often as possible as the projects

advances so that every task should be carried out in the best way possible and the problems that

may appear be dealt with fast and efficiently.

Students involvement will be a key feature of the project and pursued. Students will:

 

-   be involved in activity planning, starting with the forums which take place at the

 

beginning of a school year and through a preliminary work inside the school in order to collect

 

suggestions, ideas, proposals and training needs;

 

-   answer a set of a questionnaires in order to set the theme and after this research historical,

 

geographical, environmental factors determining the choice of a way of eating;

 

-be divided in groups according to the activities they will take part into graphs, power point

 

presentations, collect statistical data, photo galleries;

 

-   communicate, socialize, change documents regarding work theme;

 

-   present their products and the progress of their activities in meeting with teachers, foreign

 

partners, families, local authorities, associated partners.

 

-   host and accompany the foreign-peers during their visits;

 

-  be involved in methodologies such as Teamwork, Co-operative learning,

 

discussion groups, and so on.

Teachers will:

 

-  be involved in training courses, which, whenever possible, will be designed in accordance with

 

 cooperative Learning Methodology;

 

-  join activity planning, taking care to tailor them to their own classes use appropriate strategies

 

 such as pre-knowledge, expectation, need survey, brainstorming and so on colleting proposals

 

 and ideas from the students, respecting their assimilation and learning style, using learning

 

methodologies such as cooperative learning, team work, discussion groups, student's interests and

 

competences.

 

                  In each school a project team will be formed, composed by all teachers involved in the project.

 

 The schools staff (administrative services) will get involved in the project in different ways

 

 according to the needs of the project.

 

In order to guarantee the participation of all school components, system figures (school manager

 

 and management staff, school board, parents and students representatives in class boards) will

 

 be constantly informed about the activities.
