The project will produce young people who are more aware of the
benefits of a healthy diet. They will learn how to become healthier because they
will be aware that a good quantity and
quality of food with a regular exercise can help them to control weight,
build and maintain
healthy bones, joints and muscles. This will produce the promotion of
psychological well being
and a reduction of stress, anxiety and loneliness. ·
The community will benefit from the project, as the young people
involved will be engaged in different
activities thus preventing them from becoming involved in aggressive acts, crime and disorder. The involvement in
extra-curricular school activities will help us to reduce anti social behaviour by
engaging and channelling young people's energies
into positive activities. The activities will provide
an opportunity for people of all backgrounds and religions to come together, which will reduce the likelihood through the
respect for the individuals. ·
The project will produce better teachers and young people who are more
likely to choose to avoid a
lifestyle which includes alcohol, drugs, smoking and doping and who
understand the consequence of an unhealthy way of living. ·
To reinforce the cultural identity and the knowledge of the territory,
developing the ability to compare cultures and different
ways of living, reinforcing the intercultural dialogue, the cooperation and the European identity among
the countries and reducing racial, religious discriminations and violent and aggressive acts. ·
All in all, the impact of the partnership will become evident in
various aspects of our life. The participating pupils will gain an
understanding of what good nutrition and diet mean for personal health. Thus, the partnership will
contribute to improving the quality of education as well as the pupils' eating habits, reinforcing
the European dimension and the co-operation among pupils, schools and the school community
participating in the project. By involving health centres,
food companies and city councils, the partnership will enhance the participating schools' reputation and enable strong
community links. Besides, the activities within our partnership will raise our pupils'
awareness on how bad habits can affect their life and how good eating habits can contribute to their
personal health. |
